Mobile app development
Native iOS and Android, or one cross-platform codebase when it makes commercial sense. Offline-first, App Store ready, built to survive its second year.
London · Software & app development since 2017
BELL is a London studio building web platforms, mobile apps and AI-powered products for ambitious teams — from the first sketch to production scale. Senior engineers only. Weekly demos. Code and IP that belong to you.
01 — Services
One team for strategy, design, engineering and the boring-but-critical infrastructure underneath. No hand-offs, no agency middlemen.
Native iOS and Android, or one cross-platform codebase when it makes commercial sense. Offline-first, App Store ready, built to survive its second year.
Customer portals, marketplaces, internal tools and multi-tenant SaaS — fast, accessible and genuinely pleasant to use on any device.
Copilots, document intelligence, RAG search and workflow automation wired into the systems you already run — with evaluation and guardrails, not hype.
Discovery workshops, clickable prototypes and design systems. We validate the idea before anyone writes expensive code.
Infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability and cost control. Deploy on a Friday afternoon without anyone holding their breath.
Monitored SLAs, dependency and security patching, performance work and a roadmap that keeps moving after launch day.
02 — Selected work
A sample of the kind of work we do. Full case studies and references available on request under NDA.
Fintech · Mobile
Replaced a fragile hybrid app with native iOS and Android clients over a shared API layer — cutting crash rates dramatically and unlocking a release cadence the team could actually keep up with.
Logistics · Web platform
A real-time planning platform that replaced a decade of spreadsheets — live tracking, automated scheduling and reporting that finance and operations finally agree on.
Professional services · AI
Retrieval-augmented assistant over years of contracts and reports, with citation-backed answers, role-based access and an evaluation suite so the team can trust what it says.
03 — How we work
You always know what's being built this week, what it costs, and what's coming next. No black boxes.
A short paid discovery: goals, users, constraints and technical unknowns. You leave with a scope, a plan and a fixed price — whether or not you build with us.
Flows, then clickable prototype, then interface. We test with real users early, because changing a rectangle is cheaper than changing a database.
Two-week sprints, a demo at the end of every one, and a staging environment you can open at any time. Automated tests and code review from day one.
Store submission, monitoring, analytics and a support agreement. Then we keep iterating on what the data tells you.
04 — Why BELL
We take a small number of projects at a time so the people you meet are the people who write your code.
Book an intro callNo juniors learning on your budget. Every line is written or reviewed by someone who has shipped and maintained products at scale.
Source code, repositories, cloud accounts, designs and IP are yours from the first commit. No lock-in, no hostage situations.
Discovery produces a real number. If something changes, we tell you before it costs you, not after.
A registered English company with UK contracts, DPAs and data handling that stands up to procurement and legal review.
05 — Engagements
Every project starts with a conversation and, usually, a discovery sprint. Indicative pricing — your quote follows discovery.

06 — Questions
Something not covered here? Send it over — we reply within one working day.
Discovery usually begins within two weeks of signing. Full build teams are typically booked three to four weeks ahead — tell us your deadline and we'll be straight with you about whether we can hit it.
A focused mobile or web MVP generally lands between £25,000 and £80,000 depending on integrations, compliance and platform count. Discovery gives you a fixed number before you commit to the build.
Yes — entirely. Repositories, cloud accounts, design files and intellectual property are in your name from day one, and we hand over documentation so another team could pick it up tomorrow.
Often. We start with a short technical audit, then either take ownership of a workstream or embed alongside your engineers using your tools and processes.
Most clients move onto a support agreement covering monitoring, security patching, store updates and a monthly allocation for improvements. You can also take it fully in-house — we'll help you hire and onboard.
We're registered in London and work with clients across the UK and Europe. Delivery is remote-first with in-person workshops when they earn their travel time.
